Given isn’t your normal story of a band being formed. A boy named Uenoyama meets Mafuyu when he’s trying to nap in his favorite napping spot. Uenoyama notices that the guitar Mafuyu has with him has rusted chords and needs to be tuned so he does it for him. After hearing Uenoyama tune the guitar correctly, Mafuyu begs the other boy to teach him how to play guitar. Uenoyama says no but Mafuyu follows him to band practice and disappears for a few days to teach himself a few guitar chords. When Mafuyu ends up singing to Uenoyama, he asks if Mafuyu would join the band as a singer. The two end up bonding over music and learn more about each other, soon a love story begins to unfold.
